We are working with an established and growing medical device company based in Dublin who are expanding their embedded systems team. This role would suit an experienced Embedded Engineer who enjoys working across the full development lifecycle of safety-critical products and wants long-term technical ownership in a regulated environment.
You will join a multidisciplinary R&D team, working closely with electronics, systems, quality, and manufacturing functions to deliver robust embedded software for next-generation medical devices.
Essential:
6+ years’ experience in embedded software / firmware development
Strong hands-on experience with Embedded C / C++
Experience with ARM-based microcontrollers
RTOS experience
Familiarity with hardware interfaces and communication protocols
(SPI, I2C, UART, etc.)
Experience working in a regulated environment (medical devices preferred; automotive, aerospace, or similar also considered)
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
Desirable:
Experience with medical device standards (IEC 62304, ISO 13485, ISO 14971)
Exposure to wireless technologies (BLE or similar)
Python or scripting for test/automation
Experience supporting products through verification and regulatory phases
